Itaewon is bigger than I thought; a rough guide to Itaewon part 2 (이태원)

Alright, so I'm here again, in Itaewon. And it is much much bigger than I thought it was. In 2018 June, I went Itaewon for the first time, just to see the place with my own eyes as it has always been known as the non-conservative, rowdy, dirty, and an "adult" place. And as it went according to my plan(?), I came across 10 Transgender Bars in just 30 minutes.

If you have the time, please take a short look at my first Itaewon blog post:
http://blackjackboy.blogspot.com/2018/09/my-lonely-trip-to-itaewon-how-does-this.html

Now, in 2019 December, I managed to find time to visit the place again. This time, with the intention of exploring the other part of Itaewon which I didn't the previous time. And this will be a blog full of pictures so let's begin.

The first thing you'll see the moment you tap out of Itaewon station and go up the escalator.

Turn left and take Exit 4

I took this route which is immediately outside Exit 4

When you turn back, you'll see this big ass tinder advertisement followed by a big ass Oriental Massage building

And..this signature Hamilton Hotel
which Makes Me Wonder when will I ever get to visit with a girlfriend

So walk down the Exit 4 route, and you'll see bunch of clothing shops, a church and two huge Adult Toy shops. Until this moment, everything seems quite normal and boring.

Once you see this Pink shop that states (Party Wear) (Suit) (Dress), go across the road:

Once you face the Pink shop and Beauty Supply shop, turn around:

You'll see this gloomy(?) side road. Walk up and here comes bunch of lit restaurants and bars which look like only hypebeast people are allowed to enter.

Wow!!! ⓒBlackjackBoy

Park Seo Joon will be in Itaewon on Jan 31st 2020 so fangirls go prepare yourselves
(I have a close female friend, I'll just call her Fishball. So, that Fishball is crazy over any guys who are extremely handsome like Park Seo Joon. So I believe Itaewon will be full of girls like Fishball on that day.)

Alcoholic drinks are kinda affordable here.

But of course if you "go up" too much or enter some secluded road, you'll end up in some gloomy residence and random shops, so just turn back if you end up there. Examples of such random houses:

So just turn back once you realise you've entered secluded areas.
Continue following the road of lit restaurants and bars, and it will end with a building that states "YOU ARE SPECIAL" and "MOON NIGHT 4F"

YOU ARE SPECIAL & MOON NIGHT 4F

Turn right once you see this building that looks like a club for drunk youngsters.

You'll be out to the main road again

And you'll see this huge ass LINE FRIENDS building which makes you wonder how much money does this LINE company have in order to have an entire building just for themselves

Let's enter the LINE FRIENDS building

Ok this is actually quite cute

I bet these cube products cost over 500,000 Won ($500+) but they were all sold out

They are rich enough to have world-class idol BTS to advertise their products

MOON is just so cute, my favourite

There is a cafe at the top level

That's it for LINE FRIENDS building, let's go back to the metro

Motels for couples who can't afford Hamilton hotel😂

While on the way back to the metro, whenever you turn left, you'll see this kind of road. This is where it leads you to bunch of Transgender bars

This is the infamous Big Bang Seungri's ramen restaurant right?

That red Porsche

Btw if you take Exit 3, you'll straight away see the famous Itaewon Police Station

Back to this Oriental Massage & Olive Young building

That's it! The other, more conservative(?) part of Itaewon. It is definitely different from the part where there are only Transgender bars. In my opinion, this is definitely not a place to visit with family, it's going to be boring or even awkward. Instead, if you're in Korea with friends, you should definitely have a visit. I believe you can spend an entire day just at Itaewon.

Merry Solo Christmas,

My Lonely Trip to "the" Itaewon 이태원; How Does This Place Look Like?

L et me get straight to the point. I came across 10 Transgender Bars. This blog post will be super useful for you if you are planning to visit Itaewon 이태원 of Korea, or simply interested in how does this "infamous" place looks like. I'm not sure how non-Koreans heard of Itaewon; but in Korea, it is commonly thought of as a non-conservative, rowdy, dirty and an "adult" place . It is even referred to as a Red Light District from time to time. So,,, how does this place really look like?? Let's just go and see it for myself. Let's take a moment to look at this Transgender Bar. Can't believe this is Korea wtf      And that's how I ended up going to Itaewon, alone . To make the story short, it was a night on June 27th 2018, the FIFA World Cup day where Korea had an epic match with Germany. I had a Spicy Cold Noodle, called Bibimmyeon, with my grandma. And at about 9 pm, I told her that I will go out and just walk around. Being my kind ...

Cursed Shampoo

It is the day my girlfriend died, or I should say, the day she killed herself. What an awful and a horrible day today is. Probably the worst day of my life, seriously. I still feel like vomiting, as if my stomach is going to be exploded. My entire body feels like it wants to crush into pieces, with all the despairing guilt. All the shocks that I received today is too much for me to believe, and I still cannot believe that whatever happened is true. My girlfriend committed suicide today, because of me. When I heard the news that she killed herself, I could not even cry because it was too scary and unbelievable. Someone killed herself because of me. Never in my life did I imagine such thing would happen. I feel hopeless, and want to seek for help. Find someone to talk to, cry in front of them, and confess all the regretful things that I have done to my girlfriend. First, my parents do not even know that I even have or had a girlfriend. And...

My Appendicitis Operation Experience (yes, 3 cuts on my body)

OH MY GOSH I was supposed to post this a year and a half ago in 2016 June and here it comes NOW, so a shoutout to my Godlike procrastination level which caused me to have a painful A Level experience . (This paragraph updated in 2017 Dec)      Let's get to the point now. So, I did appendicitis/appendix operation on June 9th 2016, in South Korea. ( And I am back in Korea again now!! TIME FLIES ) Before I start, let me give you guys a rough idea on what appendicitis operation exactly is, because to be honest I myself did not knew about it as well. But if you guys already know what that is, just skip all these information in between the stars.                                           ★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★ Appendicitis  is an inflammation of the appendix , a 3 1/2-inch-long tube of tissue that extends from the large intestine.
